About The Position

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary terminology, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with dietary aide practices is preferred but not required.
  • A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new menu items is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu plans.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in menu planning, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
  • Participate in catering events as needed, providing exceptional food service to guests.
  • Utilize proper knife skills for food preparation, ensuring precision and safety at all times.
