About The Position

Good Harvest Market is seeking to hire a flexible full-time line cook for their onsite restaurant and deli, Hop Harvest & Vine. Hop Harvest & Vine is a farm-to-table, community public house restaurant concept that includes a bar and an updated menu focusing on locally sourced, organic and seasonal ingredients. They serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and brunch and make their menu items from scratch. The availability to work a blend of daytime, evening and weekend hours to support the department is required.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience cooking in a restaurant, hotel, or resort
• Understanding of cooking methods and procedures, and safe & efficient knife handling skills
• Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
• Ability to read and follow cooking directions
• Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
• Must be organized and self-motivated
• Must be able to stand, bend, stretch, and lift, and carry heavy materials
• Flexible full-time availability, including a blend of daytime, evening and weekend hours
• Minimum of 18 years or older.
• Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
• Must be able to lift and carry weights of between 5 - 40 lbs.
• Requires long periods of standing.
• Must be able to use heated wrapper.
• Work involves controlled temperatures, including ovens and freezers.

Responsibilities

• Preparing recipes from our full breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus
• Knowledge of kitchen safety and compliance with health code regulations
• Proper knife skills, ability to work safely at a fast pace
• Strong customer service skills
• Maintain a clean and well stocked kitchen
• Work well within our team
