About The Position

The Line Cook at Villa Roma Resort is responsible for preparing high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and established food preparation procedures. This position plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests while maintaining food safety standards and kitchen cleanliness.

Requirements

Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar culinary role preferred
Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen procedures
Strong knife skills and knowledge of proper food handling techniques
Ability to follow recipe directions and food preparation guidelines
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality
Good verbal communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation specifications
Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies and food items
Prepare ingredients by following prep lists, portioning, and marinating items
Cook menu items according to established recipes and timing guidelines
Monitor food quality and ensure consistent presentation
Properly store all food items at correct temperatures and following food safety procedures
Clean and maintain workstations, cooking equipment, and kitchen areas
Support other kitchen staff by assisting with other food preparation when necessary
Communicate effectively with other kitchen and service staff
Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage items
Maintain kitchen equipment in good working condition and report any malfunctions
Participate in kitchen inventory and ordering processes as directed
