Max Burger, located just over the West Hartford line in Avon CT, is staffing for its opening (located just feet from Avon Old Farms Hotel). Requirements

Proven experience as a Line Cook (1–2 years preferred)
Experience in a fast-paced, casual dining or quick-service environment is a required
Ability to work across multiple stations, including grill, fryer, and sauté and grill
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures (ServSafe required within 90 days, employer paid)
Familiarity with preparing and assembling menu items to order quickly and consistently
Strong knife skills and attention to detail
A solid work ethic with a passion for food and take care in their work
Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in a busy kitchen
Excellent time management skills; ability to work well under pressure
Team player who communicates well with fellow cooks, servers, and management
A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to the fun, energetic atmosphere of Max Burger

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook food items according to the Max Burger menu specifications, focusing on gourmet burgers and specials
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment at all times
Follow recipes, portion sizes, and plating standards to ensure consistency and quality
Assist with daily prep tasks, including chopping, prepping ingredients, and organizing the kitchen
Ensure proper rotation and storage of ingredients to maintain freshness and minimize waste
Work closely with the Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth and timely service
Contribute to a positive, collaborative kitchen environment where every team member takes pride and ownership in their work
