About The Position

TOPPER'S offers a la carte and prix fixe menus showcasing seasonally inspired cuisine with an emphasis on local produce and seafood. We are seeking a Line Cook to join our culinary team. Line Cook is responsible for the plan, prep, set up and quality service in all areas of food production for menu items and specials.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar position
  • Work well under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organized
  • Flexible
  • Self-motivated
  • Great sense of humor
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Start prep work on items needed for the particular menu of the day
  • Organize all of the various prep items needed from different areas to ensure that all items are in place and ready for service
  • Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guide
  • Inform the Sous Chef of any shortages before the item runs out
  • Maintain proper storage procedures as specified by Health Department and Hotel requirements
  • Breakdown work station and complete closing duties
  • Wrap, cover, label and date all items being put away.
