About The Position

Position Summary: The Line Cook prepares and cooks menu items efficiently and accurately, ensuring they meet quality standards. They also maintain a clean and organized workstation and follow food safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Basic culinary skills, including knowledge of cooking techniques (ex: sauteing, roasting, baking, and plating), equipment operation, and food preparation.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment, including maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work effectively with other kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage a workstation and maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately, ensuring consistent quality.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Above average math skills.
  • A positive attitude and good manners.
  • Neat personal appearance and proper personal hygiene.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the primary language(s) of the work location. Fluency in English may be essential for certain customer service stations within this position.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and established standards. This may include tasks like washing, chopping, and seasoning ingredients, as well as operating various cooking equipment (grills, fryers, etc.).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation. This includes setting up the station, stocking it with necessary supplies, and ensuring proper storage of food items.
  • Adhere to all food handling and sanitation procedures, including proper storage and handling of ingredients, and maintaining a clean workspace.
  • Prepare and cook food orders in a timely manner, ensuring efficient service and meeting customer expectations.
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist with inventory management, ensuring adequate supplies are available.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, including dishwashing and general cleaning tasks.
  • Following recipes and procedures, ensuring consistent quality.
