About The Position

Pixar Animation Studios is seeking talented and reliable cooks for its Culinary Team. This on-call position averages 25–40 hours per week and involves working across kitchen stations. The team prepares weekly changing menus using high-quality, seasonal, and local ingredients for the studio’s two cafés, which maintain a high standard of excellence for studio members.

The role calls for a passionate, friendly, and curious cook with strong guest-service skills. The position is based in Emeryville. The hiring range is $20.34 to $25.54 per hour; the actual base pay may vary based on internal equity, geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking; fine dining experience is preferred.
• Strong knife skills and precision technique.
• Ability to work in a variety of stations.
• Ability to follow and execute recipes.
• Organized and self-starting work style.
• Ability to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel, and studio guests.
• Demonstrated excellence in guest-service skills, including being reliable, consistent, informative, and pleasant.
• Ability to work continuously standing for five or more hours and continuously use hands.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, and lift objects up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to communicate verbally and respond to spoken questions.
