About The Position

Kings Card Club is hiring a full-time Line Cook to join our team, offering a $1,500 sign-on bonus! The Line Cook is responsible for having knowledge of the menu, properly handling, cooking and preparing all food offered by the establishment. A Cook will produce and prepare menu items for the establishment, maximizing efficiency and service, in and out of the kitchen, and ensuring that quality, quantity, and presentation of prepared food is completed in accordance with the facility’s high standards. Line Cooks may also assist with prep work and dishwashing duties when necessary to support overall kitchen operations.

Requirements

  • Must be available nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to understand, read and write English.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • High School equivalent math knowledge required.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to make good choices, be able to distinguish between positive and negative situations, and how to approach situations and resolve them.
  • Must be SERV SAFE certified.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares all menu food items according to recipes.
  • Maintain proper station setup and mise en place throughout service.
  • Communicate low stock or product needs promptly to management or prep staff.
  • Ensures quality of food is meeting customers expectation.
  • Quality Control of all food prepared.
  • Ensure Kitchen cooking areas are fully stocked.
  • Minimize wastage.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Standard closing duties.
  • Supports safe work habits and a safe working environment.
  • Knowledge of safe usage of kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work within strict time deadlines.
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual efficiently.
  • Communicate with Front of The House to ensure orders are correct and served properly.
  • Assist with prep work such as washing, chopping, portioning, or storing ingredients as assigned.
  • Provide dishwashing support as needed to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
