About The Position

Carversteak, located at Resorts World Las Vegas, is a contemporary reimagining of the classic casino steakhouse, blending mid-century modern nostalgia with modern design and techniques. The 14,500 square foot property features an expansive bar and lounge, a main dining room, and a terrace with outdoor seating overlooking the Las Vegas Strip. The ambiance is enhanced by a digital art program and a state-of-the-art lighting and sound system. The menu offers dry-aged American steaks, Japanese-certified Wagyu, classic steakhouse staples, seasonal ingredients, playful presentations, and vegan options. The beverage program includes an extensive wine list, a curated whiskey collection, and a unique cocktail experience with an onsite herb garden. Several private event spaces are also available, including two private dining rooms and a large outdoor garden.

Requirements

  • Candidate must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Candidate must be able to bend and lift to 50 lbs.
  • Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion.
  • Working environment may include exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.
  • Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Is a certified Food Handler.

Nice To Haves

  • One year prior Steakhouse fine dining experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Handles all allergy and/or dietary restrictions and modifications.
  • Accurately follows all orders received from the POS system and/or direction from the expeditor.
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of assigned station, the kitchen and the entire venue in accordance with Health Department.
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of assigned recipes and execution.
  • Communicates product needs to the chefs and the support staff.
  • Required to check cover counts, BEOs and/or Fire Sheets.
  • Properly sets-up station and performs opening/closing procedures as directed by management.
  • Reports all breakage or damage of equipment immediately to management.
  • Portrays a positive and professional attitude.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Embodies integrity and seeks continuous improvement.
  • Wants to learn and helps team members do the same.
  • Loves cooking and being part of a like-minded team.
  • Is a certified Food Handler.
  • Attends and participates in daily pre-service meetings (where applicable).
