About The Position

The Cook 2 is responsible for the daily operations of a designated station, ensuring that all food is prepared and presented according to the hotel’s high standards. This role requires efficiency and a "Guest-First" approach to ensure a consistent experience for all in-house guests. Within our upscale lifestyle hotel, this position focuses on maintaining station mastery and operational consistency, ensuring all menu items are prepared to exact specifications.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a professional kitchen or line cook role, preferably within an upscale lifestyle hospitality environment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to culinary excellence.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with the line team.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills to handle high-volume orders.
  • Knowledge of proper cooking techniques, station organization, and equipment usage.
  • Ability to stand, walk, pull, push, bend, stoop, and lift for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity to operate necessary kitchen equipment and handle supplies.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including overnights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, maintain, and break down assigned stations daily while ensuring Hilton brand standards are consistently met.
  • Prepare and cook menu items to order following standardized recipes and portion controls.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness of the station, addressing spills and stains promptly.
  • Maintain a valid Utah Food Handler Permit.
  • Strictly adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and brand service standards.
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately.
