About The Position

The Cook 2 is responsible for the daily operations of a designated station, ensuring that all food is prepared and presented according to the hotel’s high standards. This role requires efficiency and a "Guest-First" approach to ensure a consistent experience for all in-house guests. Within our upscale lifestyle hotel, this position focuses on maintaining station mastery and operational consistency, ensuring all menu items are prepared to exact specifications.

Requirements

Prior experience in a professional kitchen or line cook role, preferably within an upscale lifestyle hospitality environment.
High attention to detail and commitment to culinary excellence.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with the line team.
Good organizational and time-management skills to handle high-volume orders.
Knowledge of proper cooking techniques, station organization, and equipment usage.
Ability to stand, walk, pull, push, bend, stoop, and lift for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Manual dexterity to operate necessary kitchen equipment and handle supplies.
Ability to work flexible hours, including overnights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Responsibilities

Set up, maintain, and break down assigned stations daily while ensuring Hilton brand standards are consistently met.
Prepare and cook menu items to order following standardized recipes and portion controls.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness of the station, addressing spills and stains promptly.
Maintain a valid Utah Food Handler Permit.
Strictly adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and brand service standards.
Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately.
