A line cook is the heart and soul of any restaurant operation, and Service Bar line cooks are no exception. In addition to being the backbone of the kitchen operation, cooks are expected to have versatility and breadth of knowledge of the entire restaurant.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a line cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong understanding of kitchen operations, culinary techniques, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work will in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Execute daily kitchen tasks as delegated by the Executive Chef to ensure smooth, efficient service.
  • Conduct daily line checks to verify prep levels, ingredient quality, and adherence to proper procedures.
  • Follow prep lists and maintain workflow to ensure timely, high-quality food preparation.
  • Actively work all kitchen stations as needed, demonstrating proper technique, cleanliness, and strong work ethic.
  • Perform opening and closing duties in alignment with standards set by the Executive Chef and General Manager.
  • Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and consistency.
  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and hygiene throughout the kitchen at all times.
  • Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation, accurate ordering, and minimizing waste to support cost efficiency.
  • Support the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs in executing menu items and specials to established standards.
