About The Position

Our upscale airport restaurant is seeking a skilled and experienced line cook to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for cooking, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and possess excellent organizational and time-management skills. As a line cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking dishes according to our restaurant's recipes and specifications and maintaining the kitchen's cleanliness and organization.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a line cook in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, methods, and equipment
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation techniques
  • Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications
  • Use knives, kitchen equipment, and tools safely and efficiently
  • Ensure that all dishes are cooked to perfection and served in a timely manner
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including food storage areas, equipment, and utensils
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering of ingredients and supplies
  • Communicate with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by management
