About The Position

As a Line Cook you will prepare food items following standard recipes and menu plans to ensure quality and consistency. You will handle food prep tasks including washing, cutting, and cooking ingredients. You will test food for proper preparation using tasting, smelling, and visual inspection. You will maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and sanitation per health regulations. You will coordinate with dining room staff and communicate orders effectively. You will complete prep sheets, side duties, and follow opening/closing procedures. You will operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain assigned areas. You will participate in scheduled training programs. You will follow SOP guidelines and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.

Requirements

  • Applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Line Cook preferred.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Must have basic reading and math skills for recipes and measurements.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare a wide variety of food items, to standard, in a high-volume, fast-paced operation.
  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of the application of sanitation procedures.
