About The Position

As a Line Cook you are responsible for the daily preparation and cooking of food items in the pantry, fry and/or stations or other areas of the kitchen. This position is responsible for other duties in the areas of food and final plate presentation including plating and garnishing of cooked items.

Requirements

  • Holder of valid and current Food Handler Certification
  • Must have an approved Food Handler's Card and non-slip shoes prior to first day of work
  • Approachable with a service-orientated mentality
  • Strong attention to detail and well organized
  • Demonstrated excellent time management skills
  • Approachable with a service-orientated mentality skills, displayed in your experience in food, hospitality, and/or other service industries.
  • Communication skills are essential for this role in order to champion a healthy team environment and to interact with guests, leaders, vendors and employees.
  • Basic level knowledge of health and safety rules
  • Extraordinarily Service Oriented - a demonstrable high level of customer service is mandatory
  • Dynamic and agile - highly organized, ability to switch between locations and job duties

Nice To Haves

  • 1-4 years high volume food service -- preferably larger, innovative corporate programs
  • May also be food and beverage experience in a full-service hotel, resort, or multi-restaurant chain
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

  • Daily preparation and cooking of food items in the pantry, fry and/or stations or other areas of the kitchen.
  • Performing duties in the areas of food and final plate presentation, including plating and garnishing of cooked items.
  • Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
