About The Position
Plunge Beach Resort is a premier beachfront destination offering exceptional dining, breathtaking views, and unforgettable experiences. Our kitchen team plays a vital role in delivering high-quality meals that complement the relaxed, coastal atmosphere our guests love. We’re currently looking for a passionate and reliable Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to our restaurant’s standards. You’ll work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and safety are essential.
Requirements
- Proven cooking experience, preferably in a hotel, resort, or high-volume kitchen
- Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment and food safety practices
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Nice To Haves
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and cooking stations
- Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards
- Assist with the receiving and storage of deliveries
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff
- Work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed
