About The Position

Max’s Tavern and Max’s Swing Lounge, located inside the iconic Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA, are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Pantry Cook with open availability to join our collaborative and fast-paced culinary team. If you're experienced in cold food prep, passionate about high-quality ingredients, and ready to support a dynamic dual-venue kitchen, we’d love to hear from you! Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience as a pantry or cold food prep in a high-volume restaurant setting is strongly preferred
  • Previous line cook experience is a PLUS
  • Comfortable working across different kitchen stations in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional behavior and strong time management
  • Team-oriented attitude with a commitment to consistency and quality
  • Strong communication and ability to stay organized under pressure
  • Eagerness to support other stations and special events as needed
  • Open availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and plate food items to support both Max’s Tavern and Swing Lounge menus
  • Handle cold prep including salads, sauces, proteins, and composed appetizers
  • Execute dishes with accuracy, speed, and presentation excellence
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and food handling protocols
  • Be cross-trained to support additional stations as needed during high-volume periods
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with general kitchen duties
  • Contribute to a collaborative, team-focused kitchen culture
