Requirements

  • Minimum one (1-2) years line cook experience preferred, steak house experience a plus
  • Must be able to read and understand tickets and recipes
  • Stand for long periods of time & be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Properly use a knife and other equipment required to execute necessary tasks
  • Maintain a valid Food Handler’s Certification in the state of New York

Responsibilities

  • Execute all menu items with precision, consistency, and speed, following Tallow’s recipes and standards.
  • Maintain mise en place and organization throughout service.
  • Operate and maintain cooking equipment in Tallow’s modern, electric kitchen environment.
  • Ensure all food meets proper taste, temperature, and presentation standards before leaving the line.
  • Work collaboratively with the Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef, and kitchen team to ensure smooth, efficient service.
  • Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and sanitation at all times.
  • Take ownership of your station, treating it as part of Our House, where pride and craftsmanship define every plate.
