About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Line Cook to join a fast-paced team. Duties and responsibilities will include preparing high-quality dishes according to standardized recipes and instructions, keeping workstations clean and orderly, and working closely with other team members to ensure efficiency in a dynamic kitchen environment. Attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and the ability to work well under pressure are essential for success in this role. Hours: Monday-Thursday, 2:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Requirements

• Proven working experience as a retail cashier or sales position preferred
• Basic familiarity with electronic equipment (e.g., cash register, scanners, money counters, etc.)
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Customer satisfaction-oriented
• Attention to detail and mathematical skills
• Sales skills
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
• This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with preparing meals for the Cafe
• Handle cash and credit transactions with customers
• Scan goods and collect payments
• Issue receipts, refunds, change, or tickets
• Redeem stamps and coupons
• Make sales referrals, cross-sell products, and introduce new ones
• Resolve customer complaints, guide them, and provide relevant information
• Greet customers when entering or leaving establishments
• Maintain clean and tidy areas
• Keep reports of transactions
• Bag, box, or wrap packages
• Stock items
• Pleasantly deal with customers to ensure high satisfaction
• Assist other café staff in cleanup, dishes, and next-day preparations
• Adherence to all Dixie Tech Policies and Procedures
• Other duties as assigned
