About The Position

Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to the chef's specifications, ensuring high-quality dishes and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • 1+ years cooking in full service restaurant or hotel
  • Must be able to "prep" food products using standardized food preparation techniques.
  • Must be able to follow instructions, written and/or oral with limited supervision.
  • Must be available and willing to evenings, week-ends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Display good customer relation skills by greeting guests in a friendly manner when appropriate.
  • Prepare and organize the station and cooking all food necessary according to prep sheets and/or chef's instructions
  • Arrange and organize the line and steam tables to facilitate meal period cooking and service.
  • Prepare all orders as turned in by service staff, ensure all orders are cooked quickly and according to order.
  • Ensure that food leaves kitchen in peak condition.
  • Learn menus, recipes, preparation, and presentation standards.
  • Ensure that all food is stored in proper containers and at proper storage and/or holding temperatures.
  • Report to work for scheduled shift, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.
  • Other duties as assigned.
