About The Position

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing menu items according to recipes, plate presentations, and specifications in a timely fashion. This role involves maintaining product presentations, product quality, and cook time standards. The Line Cook also completes assigned prep work, sets up their workstation according to the station diagram, and practices sanitary and safe food handling at all times. Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing the work area before, during, and after shifts, completing assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects, and attending/participating in daily kitchen meetings. The role also involves stocking the station for the next shift, helping to maintain the cleanliness of the entire Back of House (BOH), and ensuring walk-in and dry storage areas are cleaned and organized daily. Other duties and projects may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years prior experience, preferably with from-scratch cuisine
  • A passion for organics and creative cuisine
  • Ability to work evenings and Saturdays on a regular basis
  • Ability to function in team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast paced environment
  • Must have good interpersonal and communication skills and be able to take direction from supervisor
  • Capable of using knives, slicing equipment and other food preparation equipment
  • Mobility required during entire shift, including climbing stairs
  • Willingness to work flexible and extended hours, as needed
