Line Cook
About The Position
As a Line Cook you will, Pay: $17.00 per hour | Shift: 2:00pm- 9:30pm pm or 3:00 pm- 11:30 am Prepares food items following standard recipes and menu plans to ensure quality and consistency. Handles food prep tasks including washing, cutting, and cooking ingredients. Tests food for proper preparation using tasting, smelling, and visual inspection. Maintains high standards of cleanliness, safety, and sanitation per health regulations. Coordinates with dining room staff and communicates orders effectively. Completes prep sheets, side duties, and follows opening/closing procedures. Operates kitchen equipment safely and maintains assigned areas. Participates in scheduled training programs. Follows SOP guidelines and maintains strict confidentiality at all times.
Requirements
- Applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Line Cook preferred.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Must have basic reading and math skills for recipes and measurements.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare a wide variety of food items, to standard, in a high-volume, fast-paced operation.
- Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of the application of sanitation procedures.
