About The Position

CO-OP Restaurant & Lounge, located within The Study at University City, is seeking a motivated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. This role is responsible for preparing high-quality menu items while delivering consistent execution and supporting a collaborative kitchen environment. The ideal candidate is curious, eager to learn, and passionate about developing their knowledge of cooking techniques in a guest-focused hospitality environment. Our caring and attentive associates reinforce our belief that guest service is our highest priority. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of 2 years in a fine dining or upscale casual environment.
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Proficiency in English required; a second language is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to lift or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for extended periods in a kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and chef standards.
Follow direction from culinary leadership and work collaboratively within a team environment.
Set up and break down assigned stations, including detailed cleaning of work areas.
Maintain consistency and quality of all food items.
Understand menu items, ingredients, and allergy considerations.
Communicate effectively with front-of-house team members regarding menu items.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
Assist team members as needed to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
