About The Position

We are looking for a Line Cook who is reliable, detail-oriented, and team-focused. This role involves preparing food that looks and tastes right every time, thriving in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen, and consistently following recipes and portion standards while maintaining a clean and safe station. The Line Cook will work closely with fellow back-of-house team members, sushi chefs, and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and contribute to a team environment, especially during busy periods. This is an opportunity to sharpen kitchen skills and grow within a multi-state restaurant group.

Requirements

1+ year of line cook or kitchen experience preferred; we're willing to train the right candidate.
Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency in a high-volume environment.
Strong time-management skills and attention to detail.
Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented mindset.
Washington State Food Worker Card required, or must be obtained within 14 days of beginning work.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to regularly bend and reach and to perform repetitive motions such as chopping, stirring, lifting, and plating.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently (ingredients, equipment, containers).
Exposure to hot surfaces, sharp tools, cleaning chemicals, wet surfaces, and moderate-to-high noise levels.
Use of required PPE, including non-slip footwear.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and variable shifts based on business needs.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with health department regulations and company policies.
Follow proper food handling, labeling, storage, and rotation procedures using FIFO practices.
Support efficient kitchen operations by coordinating with fellow BOH team members during peak service periods.
Assist with food preparation, restocking, and daily opening and closing duties as assigned.
Communicate clearly and professionally with BOH and FOH team members to keep service running smoothly.
Monitor food quality and immediately report issues or shortages to kitchen leadership.
Follow all safety standards, including knife safety, equipment use, and proper sanitation practices.
Maintain a positive, team-first attitude and contribute to a respectful, collaborative kitchen culture.

Benefits

Compensation: $18.50/hr. + tips.
