About The Position

The Line Cook / Grill Person at Oliver Royale is responsible for preparing and cooking grilled and line menu items to restaurant standards while maintaining consistency, quality, and efficiency during service. This position works closely with the Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and an excellent guest experience.

Requirements

  • Previous line cook or grill experience preferred
  • Knowledge of grilling techniques, food temperatures, and knife skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Passion for food and willingness to learn

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, season, and cook meats, seafood, vegetables, and other menu items on the grill and line
  • Set up, stock, and maintain the grill/line station before service
  • Cook food to proper temperatures and specifications
  • Ensure all plates meet presentation and portion standards
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the grill and kitchen line
  • Monitor ticket times and work efficiently during high-volume service
  • Communicate with Chef and kitchen team to keep service running smoothly
  • Restock products and report low inventory items
  • Follow all food safety, storage, and sanitation procedures
  • Assist with prep work, cleaning, and closing duties
