Line Clearance Foreman | CDL Preferred
About The Position
Davey Utility Line Clearance is offering a key opportunity for an experienced Line Clearance Foreman/Foreperson, with a CDL and/or climbing experience preferred, to join their team servicing the Hanover, PA region. This role involves leading a 2-5 person tree crew in safely and skillfully performing all aspects of tree pruning and removal services for major electric utility providers. The job includes pruning treetops, repairing damaged trees, removing broken limbs, and applying knowledge of tree identification and industry pruning guidelines. The foreman will also perform job-site inspections, plan and execute assigned work, and properly maintain, prepare, and operate tools and equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts. Additionally, the role involves mentoring and training new employees.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Line clearance experience or other related tree work
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Love of the outdoors
Nice To Haves
- Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement or willingness to obtain
- Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
- ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional
Responsibilities

- Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
- Mentor and train new employees.
