About The Position

Bay Area Foot Care, part of Balance Health, is seeking a reliable, hard-working, and experienced Limited Purpose X-Ray Technician/Medical Assistant for a full-time role in San Francisco, California. This position involves taking required patient images using technological equipment, communicating with clinicians, and assisting with other office administrative tasks and coverage for Medical Assistants. The practice focuses on providing excellent clinical care to help patients stay active and mobile.

Requirements

  • High-school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1-year experience working as an X-Ray Technician in a medical practice or similar environment.
  • Current California AART certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
  • Knowledge and full understanding of current radiological standards.
  • Hands-on experience assisting Physicians with procedures and tasks in patient exam rooms.
  • Hands-on experience with a wide range of tasks related to patient care.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills including prioritizing daily tasks.
  • Ability to communicate logically and clearly verbally and in writing.
  • Good listening communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional and courteous interactions with patients, physicians, and coworkers.
  • PC Proficient with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Ability to successfully pass an in-depth background investigation, including clean pre-employment drug screen.
  • Prolonged periods standing, reaching and bending.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Physical strength and agility to position patients for a variety of diagnostic examinations.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or higher in a related area.
  • Experience working in a busy medical practice environment.
  • Experience using Athena.
  • Any combination of academic education and professional training and development along with applied work experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.

  • Helping with other office administrative tasks.

  • Performing a wide range of tasks related to patient care.
  • Ensuring accurate, timely completion of assigned tasks.

  • Floating to surrounding locations.
