About The Position

Performs diagnostic x-ray procedures on selected anatomical sites within a limited scope. This role requires preparing patients for exams, explaining procedures, and adhering to strict guidelines for radiographic equipment usage. Excellent communication skills are essential for gathering patient data and explaining procedures. The operator must be mentally prepared to work with critically ill patients and maintain patient privacy. Proficiency in record keeping is also necessary.

Requirements

• Must meet state limited x-ray machine operator requirements for location of practice.
• In South Dakota Sanford requires: Completion and passing of the Radiology Education Online.
• Maintaining certification through CEU’s.
• 12 credits required every 24 months, to be provided by the supervisor
• Compliance with current LXMO policy.
