About The Position

Intermountain Health is seeking a Limited Scope Radiology Tech in School to join their team at Logan Regional Hospital. This PRN opportunity is designed for students who are completing their final year of Radiologic Technology education and currently hold a Limited Scope/Practical Radiologic Technologist license. In this role, you will work alongside experienced imaging professionals while providing exceptional patient care and producing high-quality diagnostic images in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technology program and in the final year of study.
  • Licensure as a Practical Radiologic Technologist (PRT)/Limited Scope Operator in the state of practice or ARRT Board Registry Eligible per state requirements.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
  • Competency in at least one of the following areas: Chest, Extremities, Spine, Skull, Podiatry, Bone Densitometry (DEXA)

Responsibilities

  • Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.
  • Is sensitive to the patients’ needs throughout the procedure.
  • Sufficiently explains procedures to patients and families to facilitate cooperation and alleviate anxiety.
  • Addresses patient concerns in a professional and compassionate manner.
  • Performs radiologic exams that produce quality images while ensuring patient and staff safety.
  • Follows proper protocols, positioning techniques, equipment operation standards, and radiation safety guidelines.
  • Recognizes emergent patient situations and responds quickly and appropriately.
  • Thoroughly and accurately completes all required documentation, including time stamps and image storage.
  • Coordinates patient care and communicates pertinent information to other patient care providers following procedures.
  • Maintains a clean, neat, and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Ensures supplies and equipment are stored in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Pursues educational and career development opportunities, particularly those involving new procedures and equipment.
