About The Position

Intermountain Health is seeking a Limited Practice Technologist (LPT) to join our Imaging team at Layton Hospital. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced imaging professionals, build clinical experience, and continue developing the skills needed for advancement into a Registered Radiologic Technologist position upon completion of your program and registry requirements. This position is PRN, As Needed, and offers flexible scheduling while attending school.

Requirements

  • Current Utah Limited Practical Radiologic Technologist (LPT) license or Limited Scope Operator license.
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technology program with the intent to obtain ARRT certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
  • Demonstrated competency in at least one approved LPT examination area.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiologic exams within your approved scope of practice.
  • Ensure proper patient identification and order verification.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images while following radiation safety standards.
  • Educate patients regarding exams and address patient concerns.
  • Accurately document procedures and maintain imaging records.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, providers, and other caregivers to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized imaging environment.
  • Continue developing clinical competencies while progressing through an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
