Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist - (Lakeway & South Austin) Texas Orthopedics
About The Position
Takes x-rays of patients, following physician’s orders and established procedures for patient safety and protection. This role involves working with physician staff to ensure quality patient care and services, ensuring compliance with clinic standards and OSHA regulations. The technologist will also prepare patients for radiological procedures, process radiology images, and send them for interpretation. Maintaining radiology equipment, cooperating with inspections, and managing supplies are also key responsibilities. The role may also involve assisting with patient flow and performing clinic technician duties when needed. A strong understanding of governmental regulations, including OSHA, and computer systems is required.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- One year experience in a health care setting; preferably orthopedics
- Radiological Certification
- Knowledge of governmental regulations and compliance requirements, including OSHA regulations.
- Knowledge of computer systems and applications.
- Ability to walk frequently and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist patients weighing up to 300 pounds.
- Must have full range of motion.
- Must have adequate visual acuity to read, the ability to interpret and understand written material.
- Must have adequate hearing and speaking abilities to interact appropriately with others, including patients and co-workers.

Responsibilities

- Maintains adequate supplies for radiology services.
- Assists with patient flow through clinic including rooming patients.
- Follows job duties for clinic technician when needed.
- Applies doctor’s specific guidelines.
- Maintains supplies and restocks rooms on a prescribed schedule.
