About The Position

This role involves performing limited diagnostic radiographic procedures, preparing and positioning patients for imaging exams, and operating radiologic and DEXA equipment. The technologist is responsible for ensuring patient comfort and accuracy, adhering to radiation safety protocols, and maintaining accurate documentation. The position requires effective communication with patients and staff, maintaining a clean work environment, and providing excellent customer service. Duties may evolve over time.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program (limited scope or equivalent)
  • Current registration as a Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist as required by the state
  • Valid CPR certification required
  • Knowledge of basic radiologic procedures, anatomy, and patient positioning techniques
  • Understanding of radiation safety principles and infection control standards
  • Ability to operate radiographic and DEXA equipment competently
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist patients, including lifting up to 40 pounds

  • Previous clinical or radiology experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Perform limited diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with established protocols
  • Prepare, position, and assist patients during imaging exams to ensure comfort and accuracy

  • Ensure proper radiation safety practices to minimize exposure to patients and staff
  • Verify patient information and maintain accurate documentation of procedures
  • Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of imaging rooms and equipment
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and team members
  • Recognize equipment malfunctions and report issues promptly
  • Provide excellent customer service while addressing patient needs and concerns
  • Perform other duties as assigned
