We're looking for a Lighting Quotations Specialist to join our Lighting team with a preferred location in Hayward, CA, and flexibility to work from one of our other ALCAL branch locations, where you'll help customers bring their lighting projects to life. From preparing competitive quotations and managing quote revisions to collaborating with sales, manufacturers, and agency partners, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional service and building lasting customer relationships. Requirements

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including phone, email, and in-person interactions.

Minimum 2+ years of experience working as a full-time quotation's specialist, administrative assistant, project assistant, or a similar role is preferred.
Knowledge of Solar Eclipse, Job Management, and Cahill preferred.
Basic Intermediate or better knowledge of personal computers and peripherals, word processing and spreadsheet software, e-mail, and the Internet.
Microsoft Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Outlook, OneNote, and Planner.
Understanding current CA T20/T24 standards, old technologies, new technologies, and new vendor products.

Lighting product and electrical distribution experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Handling customer needs from request for quote to quoting the customer.
Fielding calls and emails for requests, changes, and re-bids.
Communicating with customers, salespeople, and Manufacture Reps.
Problem-solving, organization, and product knowledge.
Providing support to Lighting Project Managers and Sales when needed.
Working with customers to build relationships.
Ensuring Alameda Electrical Distributors is the go-to for their Lighting needs.
Requesting manufacturer quotations, tracking progress of quote, and entering data into Cahill and Job Management to finalize customer quotation in a timely manner.
Reviewing quotes for accuracy and completeness to ensure profitability prior to issuing.
Being cognizant of all necessary components required to complete the requested bill of material.
Partnering with salespeople and manager to determine margin based on quotation details, ensure customer satisfaction, and promote future business.
Working with internal/external stakeholders, manufacturers, and lighting agencies to obtain information for customer projects.
Answering phone calls and emails related to respective projects, ensuring that messages are transcribed correctly and whether a follow-up action is necessary.
Reviewing and analyzing reports to inform stakeholders, manage business flow, diagnose quotation problems, and advise implications of given data.
Maintaining an amicable relationship with all Lighting Reps to ensure AED receives a competitive discount.
Providing back up to Lighting Project Managers and sales, as needed.
