About The Position

Humbug Lighting is building a premium outdoor lighting company specializing in permanent roofline lighting, landscape lighting, and commercial outdoor lighting. This is a full-time, year-round position with a clear path to future leadership for the right person. The role is physically demanding and requires working safely at heights every day, involving significant work on ladders and roofs. This is an active, outdoor skilled-trades position where you will be expected to climb extension ladders, work on one- and two-story buildings, lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds, and work outdoors in various weather conditions. The position requires a calm, confident, and productive individual who enjoys working with their hands and seeing the results of their craftsmanship.

Requirements

21 years of age or older
High School Diploma or GED
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Comfortable driving a company vehicle
Professional experience working on ladders and at heights
Strong understanding of ladder safety and roof safety
Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day
Ability to work outdoors in heat, humidity, and varying weather conditions
Strong communication skills and professionalism with customers
Ability to work independently and solve problems on the job site
Comfortable using common construction tools, including tape measures, power drills and impact drivers, miter saws, hand tools, levels, and basic electrical hand tools
Solid mechanical aptitude and comfortable measuring, cutting, drilling, and assembling materials accurately

Responsibilities

Installing permanent roofline lighting systems
Installing landscape lighting systems
Installing commercial outdoor lighting
Running and securing low-voltage wiring
Mounting transformers, controllers, and lighting components
Measuring, cutting, fitting, and assembling lighting materials
Working safely from ladders and aerial lifts when needed
Loading materials and preparing job sites
Maintaining clean, organized, professional job sites
Communicating professionally with homeowners and commercial customers
Identifying opportunities to improve the customer's lighting system
