Requirements

• One (1) year of full-time employment driving automobiles or light duty trucks.
• Possession of a valid, unrestricted California Class C or B driver's license may be required dependent upon assignment.
• Must attain at least 70% score on each phase of the examination process.
• Must provide valid government-issued photograph identification for examination admittance.
• Applicants may be required to submit a copy of their Department of Motor Vehicles drivers record.
• Applicants may be required to submit to post offer medical and drug screening tests.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of the California Motor Vehicle Code.
• Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of light vehicles.
• Knowledge of the geography of Bakersfield and Kern County.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.

Responsibilities

• Driving automobiles or light duty trucks.
• Willingness to work any shift of a 24-hour period and any 5 of 7 days.
• Willingness to travel to specified geographical locations/district offices.
