About The Position

Penguin Random House is seeking quality workers for immediate openings as Light Picker/Packers on 1st shift at their national fulfillment center in Crawfordsville, Indiana. This full-time position involves picking and packing customer book orders, processing returns, and using computer and/or hand-held RF equipment. The role requires adherence to safety rules, teamwork, and flexibility to work in other areas as needed. Requirements

Basic reading and math skills
Must be able to push, pull, bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis and occasionally up to 35 lbs.
Must be able to stand for an entire shift (minimal breaks provided)
Must be able to climb stairs and be comfortable working on an upper mezzanine level
Must follow all safety rules and work well in a team-orientated environment
Must possess the flexibility to work in other areas based on business needs
Minimum age requirement is 16
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to maintain good overall safety and attendance record
Work well in a team-orientated environment
Must adhere to all established safety and precaution measures.
Must be flexible and cross-trained in other areas to assist with work in other departments based on business needs
