About The Position

Penguin Random House is seeking qualified Light Picker/Packers for their fulfillment center in Reno, NV. This role is responsible for picking, packing, and shipping book orders to customers worldwide. The position is on the 2nd shift, Monday - Friday, 10:30 am - 6:30 pm, with a starting pay of $18.00/hr. Full benefits are effective from the first day of employment.

Requirements

• Requires basic reading and math skills
• Must be able to push, pull, bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis and occasionally up to 35 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for an entire shift (minimal breaks provided)
• Must be able to climb stairs and be comfortable working on an upper mezzanine level
• Minimum age requirement is 16
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain good overall safety and attendance record
• Work well in a team-orientated environment

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack customer book orders using a variety of methods including voice automation
• Process customer book returns in a variety of ways
• Using a computer and/or hand-held radio frequency (RF) equipment
• Must follow all safety rules and work well in a team-orientated environment
• Must possess the flexibility to work in other areas based on business needs
• Must adhere to all established safety and precaution measures.
• Must be flexible and cross-trained in other areas to assist with work in other departments based on business needs
