About The Position

ARAMARK Remote Workplace Services is hiring for a Light Maintenance Worker for a remote lodge near Fort McMurray, AB. Strong janitorial experience and a familiarity with remote camp work is required, familiarity with custodial work. Cleanliness is a necessity of every business. As a Light Maintenance Worker on our team, you’ll take on the important job of keeping our operations and locations clean, so that our customers can stay happy and healthy. The Janitorial cleans and maintains assigned area(s) to meet customer and client satisfaction. It’s time for a sweeping change to your career so that you can pursue what matters to you! Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs. Comprehensive benefit packages are offered. Transportation is provided out of Edmonton, AB to site. Rotation are 20 days on/10 days off. Please note all candidates considered for hire will be required to successfully pass a pre-employment D&A test and criminal background check.

Requirements

  • Strong janitorial experience
  • Familiarity with remote camp work
  • Familiarity with custodial work
  • Previous maintenance experience preferred
  • Ability to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks
  • Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co-workers.
  • Adaptable to customer needs.
  • Repairs various fixtures and hardware such as doors, windows, minor appliances, office equipment, etc.
  • Inspects assigned area on a routine basis and performs maintenance as needed to keep facility in functioning and serviceable condition.
  • Completes daily, weekly, or monthly checklists of pre-scheduled building and equipment maintenance procedures.
  • Reports on any major maintenance need and recommends corrective action as appropriate.
  • Demonstrates efficient and safe use of equipment and tools.
  • Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competence by adherence to component and departmental training commitments.
  • Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures.
