About The Position

This role involves general light maintenance activities within a Process Area Support environment.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years in industrial cleaning desirable
  • Ability to observe details at close range
  • Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions
  • Ability to quickly grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects
  • Substantial lifting (up to 50 pounds) is required
  • Ability to move for extended or continuous periods of time
  • Ability to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools
  • Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment
  • Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner
  • Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
  • Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules
  • Must have working knowledge and be trained to operate the following: skid steer loaders, scissors lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, and hand & power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Work and direct personnel in a team-oriented and safety conscious environment, adhering to "Safety First" expectations including PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company/site safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Perform sanitation and cleaning of assigned areas following master cleaning schedules and procedures, which may include washing down, shoveling, sweeping, and cleaning screens with the aid of a respirator.
  • Maintain adherence to work schedule and work overtime, weekends, holidays, and shifts as required.
  • Assist in maintenance, railroad, and groundwork such as mowing, trimming, landscaping, and snow removal.
  • Operate skid steer loaders, scissors lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, and hand & power tools.
  • Effectively communicate with supervisor and customer to accomplish assigned tasks and develop sound customer relations.
  • Work from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, scaffolding, etc., utilizing fall protection equipment when required.
  • Maintain communication with supervisor regarding unresolved work issues, personnel issues, and employee complaints.
  • Perform other work as defined by company and/or customer.
  • Ensure compliance with all company/customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals to include employee development planning.
  • Communicate with all team members to assist the development of short- and long-range planning in assist of the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Meet physical requirements of the job.
  • Perform assigned tasks in a safety, effective, and efficient manner.
  • Complete accurate and timely administrative duties, including time accounting and work order completion.
  • Maintain positive customer and employee relations.
