About The Position

Operate extended boom forklift, Skid Steer, mini excavator, frontend loader and trencher to dig, remove and transport dirt, gravel and stage material. Responsibilities include operating equipment to dig trenches and holes of specified length, depth, and width and grade, and transporting, loading, unloading, and staging material safely throughout the jobsite. The role requires accurately interpreting load charts and site configurations to ensure all lifts are executed safely and strictly within authorized equipment capacities, and securing all loads safely and properly using appropriate transport or rigging tie-downs. Equipment will be used to move loosened material into piles or transport trucks. The operator must identify safety hazards and take immediate, necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize risks. All other job-related duties as requested by supervision are also part of the role.

Requirements

Minimum of one (1) year of mechanical, industrial or refinery maintenance experience
General knowledge of basic hand tools
Must be able to pass equipment test and visual observation of operating equipment
Complete the Matrix Service Safety training, and Client/Site specific training
Proven ability to safely navigate and operate in tight, congested work areas while strictly maintaining clearance boundaries around existing underground and overhead utilities
Must obtain and maintain an active status within the DISA drug testing program and pass a Background
Must maintain an active driver's license and successfully clear an MVR and driving record review
Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and work from elevated or uneven surfaces
Work involves standing and walking for extended periods of time
Ability to work in Confined Spaces
Work may include frequent bending, kneeling, crouching and stooping and occasional climbing onto equipment and/or trailers.
Work may include occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying objects weighing a minimum of 35 pounds to a maximum of 100 pounds, with assistance, such as raw or fabricated material, equipment or tools
Requires visual ability sufficient to perform job duties. Work normally requires eye-hand coordination
Travel and overtime may be required
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities
