Light Equipment Operator
About The Position
This is a union position located at the Watford, ON facility. The Light Equipment Operator sets up and operates a wide variety of equipment, and performs work per specifications. The role involves operating equipment in compliance with company operating procedures, verifying equipment is in working order, moving and positioning raw materials and finished components, and performing daily maintenance and cleaning activities. This role is designated as safety sensitive and requires strict compliance with all safety rules and protocols, with potential for drug and alcohol testing.
Requirements
- 1 year of previous experience.
Responsibilities
- Operates equipment in compliance with the company operating procedure.
- Verifies that equipment is in working order, e.g., tooling, safety mechanisms.
- Moves and positions raw materials and finished components with use of material moving equipment.
- Performs daily maintenance and cleaning activities.
