Operates a variety of light motorized equipment and vehicles as part of the City's parks maintenance and construction program. This position functions outside with exposure to traffic and weather conditions, hazardous chemicals, dust, fumes, noise, and vibration. Safety equipment is provided. The role requires heavy physical work including frequent standing, walking, climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, squatting, pushing/pulling, reaching, lifting, and carrying up to one hundred (100) pounds, with sufficient visual acuity. The position involves competing demands, multiple tasks, deadlines, occasional work beyond normal business hours, and responding to customer issues. Regular attendance is essential, and the position is subject to drug testing. This posting is for a full-time, regular, non-exempt, union-represented position within Parks & Recreation but may be used to fill other similar positions across various City Departments.
