About The Position

RRD/PCA is hiring a Light Equipment Operator 1 at its Timonium, Maryland location. The role operates offline and auxiliary binding, finishing, and packaging equipment; prepares equipment for production runs; and performs routine cleaning, lubrication, and maintenance. The operator may troubleshoot problems, request maintenance, coordinate crew assignments, and train new team members.

Requirements

Familiarity with routine equipment operating procedures and the ability to set up and operate equipment by following a few step-by-step instructions.
Skill in operating the equipment.
Ability to perform minor clerical tasks incidental to equipment operation, such as maintaining machine operating and maintenance records.
Ability to perform routine equipment maintenance, including cleaning and lubrication.
Ability to identify improper machine operation and make basic adjustments.

Responsibilities

Operate offline and auxiliary binding, finishing, and packaging equipment.
Set up and adjust machines and equipment for production runs.
Clean, lubricate, and maintain machines to support optimum operation.
Troubleshoot issues and submit maintenance requests as needed.
Coordinate the assignment of crewmembers and provide training for new team members, as needed.
Maintain machine operating and maintenance records and perform other minor clerical tasks incidental to equipment operation.
Identify improper machine operation and make basic adjustments.
