About The Position

This role involves filling orders of nonexpendable and expendable items for shipment to Casey’s store locations. The position requires examining and visually determining correct bay, shelf, and slot numbers for products, and verifying order labels for accuracy in description and quantity. Responsibilities include selecting specified products, inspecting for damage, placing items into tote containers, and scanning tote barcodes to ensure correct store numbers before shipment. The role also involves ensuring tote container cleanliness according to food safety plans and replenishing product in pick slots. Adherence to Company safety procedures and food safety regulations is mandatory. The shift is Monday through Friday from 6 am to 2:30 pm, with overtime as needed. This is a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age to apply for and work in the Ankeny, Iowa warehouse.
• Functional reading, writing and numerical skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of warehousing methods, procedures and techniques utilized in handling and storing stock items is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fills orders of nonexpendable and expendable items for shipment to all Casey’s store locations.
• Examines and visually determines correct bay, shelf and slot numbers containing products to be repacked for shipment.
• Verifies visually and through pick system each order label for an accurate description and quantity of product ordered.
• Selects specified products from the correct pick slot, inspects any damage and places items into tote container.
• Scans tote barcodes to ensure containers are labeled with the correct store numbers before being shipped.
• Examines tote containers prior to filling to ensure cleanliness per food safety plan, wiping with clean cloth if there is minimal debris.
• Replenishes product in proper pick slots, either by pallet or by case.
• Complies with established Company safety procedures and all food safety regulations.
• Performs other related duties, as assigned.
