About The Position

Stepp’s Towing & Heavy Transport, a family-owned business since 1960, is looking to add Light Duty Tow Operators to their team. They specialize in light-, medium-, and heavy-duty towing, heavy transport, and auto salvage, serving the greater Tampa Bay and Orlando areas. The company values a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and effective problem-solving abilities. They offer no slip seating, meaning drivers keep their assigned truck, but drivers must have their own set of tools once assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial motor vehicle driving experience
• Current DOT Medical Card required before the 1st day of work
• Clean driving record for at least the past 3 years
• MUST be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test

Nice To Haves

• Prior towing experience or related field preferred but not required! We will train you to operate the tow truck!

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to accidents, vehicle breakdowns, and roadside emergencies.
• Communicate effectively with motorists while en route to service calls.
• Carry out minor repairs or tow vehicles to repair facilities as needed.
• Safely secure and transport vehicles on your truck.
• Remove vehicles parked in unauthorized locations.
