About The Position

Stepp’s Towing & Heavy Transport is looking to add Light Duty Tow Operators to our team! We value a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and effective problem-solving abilities. No Slip Seating – Keep Your Assigned Truck! All drivers must have their own set of tools once assigned to a truck. Stepp’s Towing & Heavy Transport, a family-owned business since 1960, proudly serves the greater Tampa Bay and Orlando areas. We specialize in light-, medium-, and heavy-duty towing, heavy transport, and auto salvage. Our team is committed to excellence, safety, and supporting our community. Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial motor vehicle driving experience
• Current DOT Medical Card required before the 1st day of work
• Clean driving record for at least the past 3 years
• MUST be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test
• Registered in the DOT Clearinghouse (For CDL holders only)

Nice To Haves

• Prior towing experience or related field preferred but not required! We will train you to operate the tow truck!

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to accidents, vehicle breakdowns, and roadside emergencies.
• Communicate effectively with motorists while en route to service calls.
• Carry out minor repairs or tow vehicles to repair facilities as needed.
• Safely secure and transport vehicles on your truck.
• Remove vehicles parked in unauthorized locations.
