About The Position

Vector Fleet Management, an Amerit Fleet Solutions Company, is seeking a Light Duty Technician in Palm Springs, CA. This position offers competitive hourly pay, paid weekly, with a range of $32.00-$36.00 per hour, depending on experience and certifications. The shift is Monday - Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Requirements

ASE Certifications required (will allow time to obtain)
DOT Med Card, any CDL Advantageous
High school diploma or GED
Automotive/Light Duty Repair Mechanics should have a minimum of two years hands-on experience or a combination of trade school and hands-on experience
Must have the ability to perform preventive maintenance, diagnoses and repairs on autos and light trucks
Complete set of hand tools and wheeled tool box suitable for daily use
Acceptable driving record and pass drug test and background check

Nice To Haves

Automotive/Light Duty Repair Mechanics with OEM training and/or ASE certifications are highly preferred

Responsibilities

Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to light and medium duty vehicles
Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation required
Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles
Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicles
Interact with clients through both email and phone as necessary
Perform other duties as required
