About The Position
This is a posting for an existing job vacancy. The role involves cleaning tasks in designated areas of a building, including dusting, mopping, cleaning washroom fixtures, spot cleaning, emptying and cleaning ashtrays, and vacuuming carpets. The Light Duty Cleaner will perform general custodial requirements and any related duties as assigned, which include the use of various cleaning equipment, vacuuming, spot cleaning, sweeping, mopping floors, and emptying waste receptacles and other common areas. The role also involves restocking single unit dispensers with soap, towels, toilet tissue, and sanitary napkins, completing periodic equipment checks, and observing/practicing all health & safety procedures and policies.
Requirements
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Must be reliable, motivated, enthusiastic and a team player, willing to assist as needed
- Must be able to use cleaning equipment (ie. I-mop, vacuum.)
- Physically able to carry out duties of the position
Nice To Haves
- Previous cleaning experience is an asset
Responsibilities
