About The Position

PIVOT POINT INC., a manufacturer of non-threaded fasteners located in Hustisford, Wisconsin, is hiring Light Assembly workers. The position is full-time on a weekend first shift: Friday through Sunday, 4:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Employees work 36 hours and are paid for 40, with overtime as needed. Training takes place Monday through Thursday on first shift for several weeks. The work involves assembling lanyards, rings, fastener parts, and other metal parts to specifications shown on blueprints and shop orders. Employees operate machines safely, meet production rates, follow quality and safety practices, and work both independently and as part of a team. Candidates must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug testing.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Strong hand-eye coordination and hand dexterity for working with small parts.
Ability to sit for long periods.
Ability to frequently lift or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug testing.

Responsibilities

Manually and mechanically assemble lanyards, rings, fastener parts, and other metal parts according to blueprints and shop orders.
Operate machines and perform duties safely.
Maintain expected production rates.
Read simple blueprints and QC sheets to check product specifications, including dimensions and tolerances.
Work well as a team member, work independently, and make knowledgeable decisions.
Maintain excellent housekeeping and safety practices.
