About The Position

PIVOT POINT INC. is seeking qualified candidates to fill a Full Time 1st Shift Float position combining Light Assembly and Lower Dock Assistant responsibilities, based on workload needs. This role operates Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, with overtime as needed. The position requires the ability to learn to set up various pneumatic and hydraulic presses and hand assemble metal fastener parts according to blueprint and shop order for dimensions and tolerances. It also involves operating a company truck and other material handling equipment to move parts within the facility and load/unload vendor trucks. Safety and production rates are key aspects of this role, along with maintaining excellent housekeeping practices. Candidates must be 18 years of age or older and pass pre-employment and random drug testing.

Requirements

  • Ability to learn to set up various pneumatic and hydraulic presses and hand assemble metal fastener parts according to blueprint and shop order for dimensions and tolerances.
  • Good driving record.
  • Forklift driving experience.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and hand dexterity with small parts.
  • Experience with Material Handling or Shipping/Receiving.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time while performing assembly duties.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time to box/move material and parts.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently when working in Shipping/Lower Dock.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug testing.

Responsibilities

  • Set up various pneumatic and hydraulic presses.
  • Hand assemble metal fastener parts according to blueprint and shop order for dimensions and tolerances.
  • Manually and mechanically assemble pins, lanyards, rings, or other metal parts.
  • Operate company truck and/or other material handling equipment in a safe manner to move parts within the facility.
  • Load and unload parts from vendor trucks.
  • Operate machines and perform duties in a safe manner.
  • Maintain expected rates for production.
  • Read simple blueprints and QC sheets for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances.
  • Participate and work well as a team member.
  • Work independently and make knowledgeable decisions.
  • Engage in excellent housekeeping and safety practices.
