About The Position

The Shipping Loader role is responsible for loading and unloading finished goods trailers from nose to tail. This position is located in a manufacturing location. The primary job duties and responsibilities include locating the product identified on the shipping document, operating a lift truck to transport products from the warehouse to the loading area, and completing a product movement sheet when a product is pulled from or returned to a location to achieve inventory accuracy goals. The role also involves verifying that the design numbers and loaded quantities match shipping documents, loading and unloading product by hand as specified, storing finished products and supplies, and inspecting and securing trailers. Maintaining excellent housekeeping, safety, and attendance records are crucial. Effective communication with operators and plant supervision is expected, along with the immediate reporting of safety issues or hazards. Other duties as assigned are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • At least six (6) months of warehouse experience.
  • At least one (1) year of forklift experience.
  • Experience working in extreme weather conditions.
  • Demonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Basic mathematics skills
  • Effective oral and written communication.
  • Ability to work in a self-directed position and be a self-starter.
  • Must be forklift certified.
  • Must be physically capable of performing essential job duties.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds frequently.
  • Maintain an excellent driving record and have a personal vehicle.
  • High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Locate the product identified on the shipping document.

  • Maintains excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work area.
  • Maintains effective communication with operators and plant supervision.
  • Immediately addresses and reports safety issues or hazards.
  • Maintains excellent safety record.
  • Maintains an excellent attendance record.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
